Nullify the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)

Nullify the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)

By Tisha Casida

Both Political Parties in Washington, D.C. are completely out of touch with the people.  The Republicans and the Democrats are discussing and passing legislation that should never have even be a talking point on the floor of the Congress, let alone law.  They took an oath of office to uphold the Constitution and look at what they have done!  Are they trying to “protect us” or is something more sinister going on?  Conspiracy is certainly on the minds of Americans these days as both parties support and pass unconstitutional and yes, treasonous legislation against the American people.  What is happening?

WE MUST stop them!   I am talking about the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).  Anyone who reads this assault on us is asking “WHY do we need this type of law”?  How is it that they think we need this?  What are they not telling us?  We all like to call our elected officials ‘stupid’ at times but I am certain they are not stupid enough to not have a plan and understand what is going on here.  Why does this have so little opposition from either party?  Why is it not talked about in our “main-stream” news media?

Enough!  Every state, county, and city must draft legislation to nullify this unconstitutional declaration of war against Americans.  They can’t even call it a war against terror anymore because they just declared “us” the American people terrorists, extremists, committing “belligerent acts”.  They clearly have drawn the line, it is our elected officials against the American people.  How is this possible?  Why would they do this?  Check out the actual verbiage (Title X, Subtitle D, Sections 1021 and 1022 – Page 81 of 371) and you decide.  It is now WAR – they provoked and declared it.

Our founding document The Constitution of the United States of America means nothing to them anymore or they would not have drafted or passed this treasonous act.  They have failed to uphold their oath of office.  So do we follow them or follow the Constitution?  The Constitution warns against what they have done to us and clearly states what is necessary for “we the people” to protect ourselves from the disastrous effects of power freaks, cowards, and dictators.  Read the bill and decide for yourself.

We can combat all of this in a non-violent way.  But you must get off the couch and put down the TV remote.  Americans have become complacent and think it’s all gonna be okay.  Time to walk the walk and stop screaming at the television which goes on deaf ears and does nothing to empower yourself.  This is exactly why I am running for Congress – to protect our liberty and freedom from an oppressive government.  Every state has the opportunity to fight back and I am fighting for Coloradans.  This is not a “sky is falling message”, this is real and in force since New Years Eve 2012.  You have already lost your liberty and freedom, it is just not enforced yet.  Elect me to restore your liberty and freedom and stop this egregious act against YOU and all of us.  I stand for you and all of Colorado, I will not stand down.  I got off the couch, please join me. http://www.casida2012.com/ndaa/nullify-the-national-defense-authorization-act-ndaa/

CASIDA FOR CONGRESS TAKES ACTION ON NDAA

Casida says that blatant violation of Bill of Rights is “Offensive” and “Inexcusable”

(Pueblo, CO) Tisha Casida, Independent candidate for the 3rd Congressional District of Colorado, has started to notify the sheriffs in Colorado’s district three about their duty to protect Colorado citizens against the federal government if federal law is violating the Constitution of the United States.

“The passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and its vague interpretation concerning ‘belligerent acts’ is of concern to all citizens,” says Casida.  She said that it is imperative that people understand that at this point in time, with the verbiage as is, any citizen could be detained without due process.  “This is a blatant, offensive, and inexcusable affront to the American people and our Constitutional rights,” says Casida.

El Paso County Commissioners and Sheriff Terry Maketa of El Paso County, Colorado, have recently introduced a resolution for their county that will protect their citizens from such violations.  Casida believes that the same should be done in each of the 29 plus counties that are in the third congressional district.  “County sheriffs are the law of the land and one of Colorado citizen’s final checks on unconstitutional acts of the federal government”.  She believes it is her job as a citizen and candidate to make sure that her constituency is aware of the role and responsibility of county sheriffs, so in addition to the letter being sent out, she is sending or hand-delivering copies of Sheriff Richard Mack’s County Sheriff: America’s Last Hope to every sheriff in the district.

The letters themselves and more information concerning the NDAA can be found on Casida’s website (www.casida2012.com).

Casida, a small business owner, was inspired to run as an Independent in the third congressional district after seeing the events of the 2010 election as well as her own encounters with local, state, and federal government.

“A nation of well informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved.  It is in the religion of ignorance that tyranny begins.” – Benjamin Franklin

Tipping Point by Tisha Casida, Congressional Candidate 2012

Tipping Point

There comes a moment when the very last piece of a complex puzzle is put in place, when a snowflake falls and builds just enough weight to carry an avalanche, when the tectonic plates underneath the earth push to a point where something must break.

We are back after another week of touring around Colorado’s third congressional district with constitutional scholar, Michael Badnarik, and it is apparent that we are at this moment in our nation’s history.

Speaking with farmers, ranchers, small business owners, and concerned citizens, the Lighting the Fires for Liberty Tour illustrated some very important lessons.

1. We know that Washington, D.C. is broken, and we need a whole lot of new representatives in to support and educate the executive and judicial branches of government.  That means we need to support all liberty candidates at every level of government. (Have you seen Peter Schweizer’s book, Throw Them All Out?)

2. There are many things that “right” and “left” can agree on.  One of them, is that we should have more decisions that affect the American people being made at a local level where people in their unique, respective communities, can have a more direct, accountable, and transparent dialogue with people making and enforcing “rules” (sometimes referred to as the “law”, although the only true law is that which constrains government – and that document is known as the Constitution of the United States of America).

3. People are tired of politicians and lobbyists who are lining their own pocketbooks at the expense of the American taxpayer.  What people need and are looking for are representatives – citizen representatives that will go to Washington, D.C. to not make more laws, but instead, represent the people of a community so that we can start to create positive and sustainable changes that will reflect a constitutional, free-market Republic.

It’s simple.  Our country and communities need to find people with the integrity and gumption to stand up for what’s right and against what is wrong.  If we can do this in 2012, we will be making a huge difference for the prosperity and freedom of this great country.
