Does Everything in an Irresponsible Society Need to be Legislated?

When did we become such an irresponsible society? When did it become the norm to create new laws with every legislative session to compound the old laws and add laws into the center of bills and on the end of them like a caboose making bills so large that your neighborhood Assemblyman and State Senator has no way to read them without the help of aids —who might be working for the other side <wink>.
No, seriously – today I almost ran over three people who were crossing the street while texting.  How long from now will it be that one of my friendly neighborhood “needs a pat on the back and wants a job renewal” Legislators will be dreaming up the next bill for our state –the “It is a criminal offense to cross the street and text and you will be hung from the gallows” bill—I can see it now….

When did we become a society of people who have no common sense and unless we are fined or arrested we’re going to do it until we are no longer “allowed” .  Is this how we have been brought up?  Did our baby boomer parents want to give their children everything they never had so they gave them a sense of NO RESPONSIBILITY??

Day after day I feel like a live in a society of irresponsible immoral drones who live in fear and need a pacifier in their mouth and a UPC code on their arm at all times.   On one hand we have people who can’t seem to figure out that with a little common sense like “If I cross the street in front of this moving vehicle I might get hit” or “with so many cars out there I should not expect to walk freely through a parking lot without someone possibly backing up on me so I should take responsibility for myself and WATCH OUT” or “If I drink 5  Red Bulls I might explode so please make a law that I can’t buy them unless I am old enough to kill people in a war but not old enough to have a beer” or “stopping at a red light is just not on my list of important things –so you better make a law so I can control myself.”  And on the other hand you have those that love giving up their liberty so they can feel secure!  The ones who are happy to be felt up, prodded and probed at the airport because there might be a terrorist –so make sure I don’t have a gun to protect myself from those terrorist –I will use a chair to ward them off!    Or they are happy to put up a sign in front of their house “gun free home” and send their children to a school in a “gun free zone” believing somehow that criminals can’t get guns or read?    Does anyone remember prohibition anymore?

Maybe I’m going off on tangents here or getting wax-poetic in order to make my point.  But if you eat poison you’re going to die and if you jump off a bridge you may not survive —do you need a new law to make sure you don’t do those things?  Do you need the government to babysit you day after day to keep you from harm’s way?

Think about that for a moment?  If you can’t take responsibility for your own life…..in the end what is the point?   Oh, wait…..there’s a law for that. 🙂

LONG ISLAND, NY, January 23, 2013 ― The rallying cry of the Ron Paul Revolution has been a call to action for some of the most sincere and idealistic people from all across the United States. Many of them have no prior experience in politics but feel a heartfelt mission to make a difference in a world needing desperate change. One such woman is Gigi Bowman, founder of the Liberty Candidates organization which helps unite libertarian minded people of all parties to get their message out and win elections.

Since founding Liberty Candidates in 2009, Bowman’s organization has fielded hundreds of candidates and given their message a national forum to be heard and recognized.

Bowman, who is one of the Ron Paul movement’s most dedicated organizers, entered politics following the tragic loss of her daughter in 2003 to prescription medication. She has been a dynamic advocate for such controversial topics as pharmaceutical reform, GMO labeling and many other issues that candidates and parties are too timid to challenge. Taking her advocacy to the next level, Bowman announced last week her intention to run for office, seeking the New York State Senate seat for District 5.

Gentle yet every bit a courageous mother figure, Bowman wrote in an announcement e-mail to supporters, “I have watched as the loss of liberty has become more and more apparent … I am stepping up today to run for office because I cannot sit back and watch any longer as our beautiful country and the freedoms and liberties that our founders fought so hard for are diminished daily by political parties and administrations that are working against the people, not for the people. While we are struggling to afford what we hope are fresh, healthy food for our children, our legislators spend their days doing photo-ops, ribbon cuttings and running photo contests about our environment instead of educating us about what is happening to our community – most likely they don’t even know themselves!”

I sought out Gigi Bowman for an interview to discuss what her take was on President Obama’s new term and how national politics would affect her candidacy and state policy.

My New Year’s Resolution to My Country – Help Ron Paul Get Elected!

My New Year’s resolution to my country. I will do everything I can to get Ron Paul elected and here is why:

Notice all this negative propaganda about Ron Paul only started coming out a week ago calling him a racist, anti-Semite etc, when the “right” saw they were losing in Iowa to the pro-peace, pro-freedom, Constitution and liberty loving candidate, Ron Paul. They had nothing else on him –he has never flip flopped or changed his convictions. He has stood by the Constitution and his oath of office for his 30+ years in office. So the media in coercion with those that OWN the media, do what they do best –they use negative propaganda to bring people down to have it their way. I think we’ve been through enough of this to know the game and how it’s played.

Ron Paul only gains supporters –he never loses supporters. Once you understand the message of our founders, of liberty and freedom you realize you must fight in order to keep America sovereign or in the end we will all lose –especially our children. We are broke. Our country is broken –yet we are supporting other countries militarily and monetarily while people in our own country can’t get jobs and lose their homes to foreclosure. Our roads and bridges fall apart while we rebuild those we bombed in wars we should not be having. The only one making out here are the war profiteers. They want to continue their cushy incomes so they will make sure to install those who will help them to do that. Apparently that seems to be the goal of all the candidates including the POTUS –all except for Ron Paul. Is it any wonder they don’t want him to win?  He is a man of the “people” NOT a man of the Corporations!

But the people are fighting back. I think the occupy movement proved that (or at least the beginning of the occupy movement before it was taken over by the very corporatist it was fighting against and the political hacks who wanted to use it for their own gain.)

I think the people are tired, hungry and verging on poor in this country. We need to begin again. These people running our country are crooks, traitors and obviously not doing what they are doing for the good of the people any longer (did we not just find out that Congressmen are ALLOWED TO INSIDE TRADE IN THE STOCK MARKET???).

We’re killing American citizens with drones –now you’re guilty and have no way to prove your innocence. Instead you are dead. NDAA, Patriot Act. Monsanto. Lobbyist. They are telling us what to eat, what medicine we have to take. Probing us at airports and radiating our children just to get on a plane to go to Disney World.

The people are fighting back and Ron Paul is the only choice we have left to make this country work before our monetary system collapses thanks to the biggest crooks of all –The Federal Reserve–the PRIVATE banking cartel that has robbed our children of their future.  Our legislators sit around fighting about how high to raise the “CREDIT” on what is seems is the limitless money supply because they can just print it up if they need it! So what if it’s not backed by anything….we’ll worry about that tomorrow!

None of the other candidates or the President are talking about these things. They want to keep things the way they are. They want to bring us back to the time of slavery. Our kids –sure they go to college and they take out loans to do it (because their parent’s can no longer use their homes as ATM machines) and they graduate and can’t find jobs because we no longer produce anything in this country –and they graduate in DEBT and can’t ever see a real future or buy a home or afford to have their own kids.

I lost a child to Big Pharma. They keep pushing anti-depressants and vaccines on our kids through the schools run by a “department of education” that pays administrators $400,000+ a year  but we can’t afford to keep our teachers or buy paper for the schools though our property taxes –which are so high that retired folks who own their houses outright still can’t afford to live in them! –yet in my State, NY, our Governor writes executive orders to grow our government with more “teams” who sit around getting paid to figure out how to save the taxpayers money. It’s almost comical it’s so absurd!

When my generation was growing up no one died from pharmaceutical drugs. Today it’s the norm. Who are our biggest lobbyist? Those that get the most “FAVORS” from those running the country? Big Pharma.  Amazing how many commercials and ads in magazines are those to push drugs on us and our kids.  Aspartame is killing us slowly. It is in almost everything we eat! It was pushed through by, yet again, someone who at the time was “running the country”. High Fructose Corn Syrup is in practically EVERYTHING on our store shelves –yet it’s born from GMO produced Corn. Again, lobbyist —MONSANTO…..

Do I need to keep going on?

We are a broken nation and we need to fix it. Vote for Ron Paul if you care about America. It’s our last chance and our last hope.  If you don’t believe me, take a look at some of the bills Ron Paul has tried to put through –they all seem to be about giving the American people more freedom FROM Government.

Make your 2012 Resolution to help Ron Paul take our country back and begin the big fix that we need…..  and while you’re at it, check out the Liberty Candidates who are running for office all over this country because of the inspiration of Ron Paul because one man can not do it alone!

We can’t keep going on this way.

Independent Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont gave an impassioned speech on the floor of the Senate yesterday. Mr. Sanders railed on the top 12th of  the top 1% of the wealthy in the United States. Highlighting their oligarchical control of the congress, their use of taxpayer money in the form of subsidies, grants, special tax exemptions and bailouts to continue to force the middle class into poverty.

While I disagree with Mr. Sanders assertion that the “Bush tax cuts” should be repealed, and the Death tax should remain in place, I whole heartedly agree with his assessment of the economic situation.

The government already taxes far beyond its authority, the Bush tax cuts are an attempt to limit the amount the federal government can tax, does it benefit the wealthy more than the poor and middle class? Certainly. Should it be repealed allowing the Government to confiscate wealth that does not belong to it, skim off the top and then redistribute a pittance to the little guy? Certainly not. As far as the death tax goes, that money has already been taxed once, to tax it again upon death only serves to ensure people spend their money before they die leaving no wealth for the younger generations to improve their economic status.

So if Sanders is wrong on the solutions to the very real crisis we are in, what are the solutions? It all begins with a sound money system. We need to Audit the private corporation that controls our currency and monetary policy. This will expose the corruption of the Federal Reserve system which will convince the American people it is time to abolish the Fed.

With the currency and monetary policy back in the hands of the congress who is accountable to “we the people” we will start to see economic policy that benefits the people. The next step in this process is to repeal the 17th Amendment, putting the election of Senators back into the hands of the State Legislators. This will ensure that these Senators are loyal to the State, and NOT special interest groups or the Federal Government. With direct election by the people the Senate is loyal to the Federal Government because that is how they protect their own power. Campaign finance reform is the third crucial step towards true Constitutional Government. In a world where dollars translate into political speech; the top 12th of 1% that Mr. Sanders mentions have all the voice while they have reduced we the people to little more than a vote.  In the age where the main stream corporate media are the gate keepers to decide which Candidates are given opportunity to address the people. Keep in mind that top 12th of 1% OWN the 6 corporations that OWN ALL of the main stream media.

The tea party has been a very important part of this process of getting our country back on track, yet much of the tea party is being co-opted by fake neo-conservatives like Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich. I can hear the groans now as people dismiss Bernie Sanders speech because he is a socialist. We the people need to unite on our commonalities so we can defeat the real enemy, that 12th of 1% that rules the United States through corporate monopoly control and the media induced illusion of choice.

The left and right need to put aside their ideological differences and build a coalition on the common interest of self preservation, preservation of our natural or human and civil rights. The tea party & coffee party for the most part desire the same goal. To bring true change to the United States. Peace, equality, to stamp out hunger and empower the poor to be successful; for each successive generation to enjoy a greater standard of living than the previous. Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness for ALL mankind. Let’s work together to counteract the main stream propaganda media, identify the real problem and eliminate it. Then the tea party and coffee party can argue over the solutions once we the people are in control of our country once again.

Assange; the Last Real Journalist?

Re: the government’s finger pointing at the JOURNALIST which has uncovered its lies and tyrannies and is forcing it to account. DON’T BE FOOLED BY THIS NEWEST MISDIRECTION ATTEMPT! Keep your focus laser-sighted on the officials that have done things that require explanations NOT on the whistle blower that has thankfully made us aware of the illegal/unethical activities.

 

 

It is so easy to point one’s finger at a scapegoat and bray about the harm he is “causing” while the real wicked people scamper on with their tyranny and their vices unmolested. Will we all be fooled again? I say that if government officials don’t want to be forced to answer hard questions about their unethical behaviors then they should…STOP DOING ILLEGAL/UNETHICAL TYRANICAL CRAP THAT ENDS UP ON WIKILEAKS AND OBEY THE RULE OF LAW!

 

 

When will the press stand up and FIGHT for one of the last real journalist of our time? It seems that Assange, and a few others (AJ;), are the only journalists NOT on the government dole. They should all do as the founders intended them to do and close ranks around a brother that is TRYING to force our government(s) to be honest to us. Why is the freedom of the press in the very FIRST amendment? Because the founders KNEW that government conducted in secret is inherently corrupt. Oh, by the way, are we really supposed to believe that some LOWLEY PRIVATE, the lowest rank in the U.S. Military, is the sole source of all these leaks?! If you believe that crap I have some ocean-front property in Arizona to sell you:) From these claims about this soldier we can deduce one of two things…either our government is lying to us…AGAIN…or our intelligence departments are the most inept government entities in the history of the Republic. I’m not sure which is more damming.

 

 

Demand to have your government conduct its business in the OPEN for all eyes to see. Your Freedom and Liberty depend upon this for government conducted in secret has made slaves of us all.
