Is Long Island Ready for an Educational Event about the Issues Affecting All of Us? From GMO Food to Smart Meters, Save Long Island Forum is Coming to Town

Are Long Islanders ready to fight back on the issues affecting us or are we complacent with living day to day no matter what’s thrown at us?  From GMO food compromising the food supply to mandatory vaccines for children without parental consent to Geo-engineering and what’s being sprayed from the sky to Smart Meters being put on our homes without permission –these are the issues along with a host of other informative and enlightening topics to be discussed at the 1st Annual Save Long Island Forum coming on January 17th, 18th and 19th at the newly owned Upsky Hotel on Motor Parkway in Hauppauge.
So what kind of event is this you ask? Well, there’s a dinner and economic debate on Friday night with Bill Still, the director of films such as “The Money Masters” and “The Secret of Oz” and the Austrian economist and author, Robert K. Murphy.  This may seem like an odd way to spend a Friday evening but with the way our economy has taken a downturn in the last few years between Wall Street and the burst of the housing bubble –and being that Long Island is one of the most expensive places in the country to live, it’s probably a smart thing to find out exactly what problems we may face and to look for solutions.
Following the debate there will also be a film-clip-festival featuring former Senior Policy Adviser of the U.S. Department of Education, whistle blower and author, Charlotte Iserbyt, who will be showing a clip of her video-set about Common Core Education that is being implemented in our schools.  Also included in the film-clip-festival are Kevin P. Miller, director of the yet-to-be-released “Letters from Generation Rx”, a follow-up to “Generation Rx” about the pharmaceutical drug epidemic and how it has affected our young people as well as Jason Bermas best and his new film “Shade” which exposes the global power structure and touches on many of the issues we will be hearing about all weekend long.  These directors and their films might seem like pretty deep topics for an evening out at a hotel with a fireside dinner but be prepared to have your mind blown by some of the subject matter when you come to realize they are directly affecting you and your family.
Saturday is being touted as the big event day because there are 20 speaker on 20 issues.  This is a feat never before seen on Long Island but considering the variety of issues we find our lives compromised by day after day like figuring out how to avoid GMO food every time we go to the supermarket or trying to understand what these new meters are that they are planning to put on our homes…. And what about fracking?  Is that going to have any affect on Long Islanders?  How about the small businesses many Long Islanders own? How will these issues and the economy affect the future of your business?  You’ll be hearing from some of the most well known speakers on every one of these issues and you may want to come with a ruled pad to take notes or stay the whole weekend because following the Saturday event where you will find out exactly what is happening there is a full buffet breakfast on Sunday featuring all the same speakers plus some special guest who will discuss solutions!  This will be a 3 hour Q&A with plenty of time to ask all the questions and find out the answers on how we’re going to deal with everything from the infringement of our 4th Amendment with KrisAnne Hall to how we will have to deal with Human Rights and the future of our American Sovereignty from our keynote speaker G. Edward Griffin who is coming to speak about the United Nations Agenda 21 but he is also the author of such noted works as “The Creature from Jekyll Island” about the federal reserve system and “A World Without Cancer” about alternative medicine. So can Long Islanders get excited about learning what’s going on around them that is affecting our future and finding out about solutions?  Many are working two and three jobs just to pay the taxes on their homes or are trying to pay for food with the prices sky rocketing.  Many have lost jobs and are trying to survive or dealing with reassembling their homes and lives post-Sandy. But there seems to be a major loss of liberty going on which is evident by legislation like the Patriot Act and the NDAA and the infringement of our constitutional rights and the implementation of the new Common Core Education among other things. You can’t fight back if you don’t know exactly what you’re fighting and what you’re fighting for.  The time might be right to invest in a little education about the most important issues you are about to face….. you and your family.  And no, this isn’t the twilight zone, though sometimes you might sit in wonder how exactly we got here.
