Why I am Voting For Donald Trump in the Primary

Make no mistake –Hillary is your next Master in Office.  NOTHING will stop that from happening.  It’s been a long time coming, and of course the GOP want to have insurance for the Clinton/Bush Globalist Agenda that’s been written into the future history books since before Orwell wrote 1984, so they have their little bobbleheads standing on the sidelines in all directions from Cruz to Rubio to Kasich to Romney –and even Condeleezza Rice is being thrown in for possible good measure (they tried to sell brother Jeb but you know how that went.)  When Hillary takes the reigns it won’t be Communism or a Soft Socialism –it will be Slave vs. Master World Government and the monsters who have been controlling the strings for quite some time will be eating your children.

What’s to stop this from happening?  Probably nothing….but I’m giving it one last shot. His name is Donald Trump and he hasn’t read the entire playbook. He had the nerve to actually step up and run for office because it’s the last notch in his belt…what else doesn’t he have?  Besides an ego the size of a large mountain he’s been a very savvy businessman for quite a long time.  Only thing is, he’s kind of green on the political front and I do understand that he keeps changing his mind, but before he ran for Governor of NY and people like Carl Paladino got in his ear and starting teaching him about the 2nd Amendment, he really didn’t know a hell of a lot about the Constitution –but he listens and learns and has brought up lots of things that seem to be the same reason that so many non-political people have woken up over the years and have been changed, including myself:  Common Core, GMO food, mandatory vaccines, a huge deficit caused by the support of far off lands in a foreign policy run by a world wide police state –the USA, and a trade policy that gave away our jobs and is poisoning us with lead.   But I digress, my point here, is that so many people are angry to the point where it can no longer be ignored and all this anger seems to have a savior in Donald Trump.

Is Donald Trump my savior? NO. Not by a long shot…..but I don’t believe we can be saved. Ron Paul was my one last hope and though this man woke up quite a few people including myself and the friends I hold dear, he did not have the following that Donald Trump has amassed due to 8 years of Obama.

So I’m voting for Donald Trump.  Why?  Make no mistake, I’m not voting for him for any other reason than I want to be one of the votes that projects him into the front runner of the GOP only to have it stolen from him by the bastards who are having orgies with the Clinton’s in the back room because they are scared to death if they don’t they will be completely and politically castrated.  Hillary has a bigger penis than ALL of them and she is going to strap it on to reign in all her puppet master friends for the ultimate world takeover.  Make no mistake we are going to war when Hillary takes office –and that war will be fought on American soil when she sells us out to the highest bidder because she won’t give a damn where she’s standing.  This is WORLD GOVERNMENT and the plan is to have it all wrapped up by 2030.  I  am voting for Trump for one reason: he will lose the GOP nomination and one of the members of this elite club will be the new puppet of the month to make it look like a fight when they hand the crown over to Hillary

…..but here is the thing…..

The American people are angry and the American people just might be angry enough when their one great hope gets his nomination stolen from him at the RNC…….  These people aren’t going to take it like the Ron Paul supporters did or the Barry Goldwater supporters did….these people are going to FIGHT BACK and burn the house down!~  And the house needs to burn if we ever want to get our country back from the clutches of the evil empire.

I’m voting to burn the fucking house down.  This is our last chance to get that done.  Let the war begin on our soil because if we don’t take back the power you just might be speaking a one world language, enjoying a one world religion and spending IMF money from your little plastic cards that may ration you if you try and take more than your share.

Donald Trump is the last thing standing between you and One World Government.  Burn that House of Cards down before it’s too late.

Everything for a Reason, Everything for a Purpose

Sometimes life gives you exactly what you need.  I have honestly spent a lot of time crying in the last few weeks because Kenny and I got it into our heads that we were going to just do it –Sell our new house, get an RV and just live free on the road.

I was looking around my house trying to figure out what I could and could not bring, and all of you who know me know that my life is a holiday and I’m not kidding when I say that. My home is like a store that changes the window with each holiday and I have had 56 years of collecting things which I proudly display, from vintage post cards to my painted furniture which I price so high so I don’t have to part with any of it.  So when I tell you I kept crying and felt very confused and between dreams, I mean it.

Kenny and I just moved into our dream home. The perfect size, on the water, with a pool, in a beautiful neighborhood that’s NOT an HOA, with great neighbors.  We have the Met’s Spring Training at Tradition Field a hop-skip-and-a-jump away, as well as the most beautiful Bathtub Beach and Tuesday Night Tacos, what more could anyone need?  Oh, and we both, miraculously have decent jobs –Kenny is the cable guy (to the Met’s haha) and I am a substitute teacher at a local school.  So there you have it.  Kenny retired early in years so it’s not been easy since you’re not allowed to touch your money until you’re close to 60 and every time you do the Government gets a cut…he’s only 53 (yeah, I married a younger guy lol).  Neither of us collect Social Security yet so our income is what he gets from his pension and though it’s very nice it’s not enough to stand alone as a salary so we were going to work from the road thinking I would sell on eBay and we would begin our up-and-coming new venture –selling Organic Gardening Devices for RVers, Apartment Dwellers and people with little place for a garden (but that’s a story for another time…..), also, I sell plantable seed paper and it is possible to do that from the road but no guarantee.  We were spending days and nights picking out possible RV’s, went in person to see some for sale on craigslist, and even went to an RV show to get up-close-and-personal with some of those we fancied in YouTube’s which we watched deep into the night.  We were planning our big adventure though all my tears….

And then suddenly, I met a man who gave me sage advice….   What’s amazing to me is that through our conversation, and I never asked his name,  he had he said to me “They had even written an article about me before he hit the road, I was famous!”, and this morning I searched the internet and FOUND IT!  (you gotta love the internet!)

It was our first time attending Met’s spring training at Tradition Field and as we drove up to the field we spied that there were lots of people and cars there before us.  It was a beautiful, sunny day and we were excited.  I remember looking around for a parking spot and the first thing I noticed was an RV which I remembered in my research to be a Class C and it was called a SunSkeeter –somehow when you’re looking for something you start to notice them everywhere 🙂  Lo and behold, while hanging out to get ready to watch the Met’s train, I met a weathered older man with a great smile sitting in what looked like his favorite camping chair. He started talking to me about how he was from Maine but he loved the Met’s and loved coming to spring training every year and that he lived on that RV over there…..  The SunSkeeter.

So now I got all excited and started to ask him a million questions about what it was like living on the road and he proceeded to tell me his life story. Everything from having Cancer and two major surgeries right before hitting the road to how much he loved his cat that traveled with him.  I kept asking questions and he kept answering….. Where does he stay? Is it expensive to live on the road? Does he boondock or stay at places where he pays a fee? and on and on….  He told me about his travels, where he had been and what his original purpose of going on the road was “to find the perfect retirement place to spend the rest of his life”.

I was taken aback by all his information.  I told him our plan to sell the house we just moved to but that we were worried if our income was enough to sustain being on the road. I told him about our jobs and our home and how we had just moved here and that this was our first time ever at Spring Training.  I told him our ages and how worried we were about whether or not we could actually afford to live month to month but that I was trying to figure out ways to make an income on the road…..  and he looked at me and he said “The road it not what it used to be, it is a very dark place”.  And I looked at him to ask why he said this….

He told me about how there are people who don’t mean well out there and how you have to protect yourself. He told me about the places where he stayed and how to work out places to stay and get showers and how he had met lots of wonderful people who respected him and gave him the things he needed when he asked, but still, underlying, there were people and places you had to worry about and that the road had changed since he first got on it in 2013.

Now the advice he gave me was something I never expected to hear.  He told me that we should do it and that it was the best experience of his life and he was having a great time but that we should wait until we are older and are collecting Social Security so that we have a better income. But what he said after this really hit home….  He told me that we both had pretty decent jobs and were lucky to have them and that we sounded like we had a beautiful new home. But it was what he said next that really blew me away, he told me that he had been everywhere in this country, drove thousands of miles, crossed many things off his bucket list, and of all the places in the entire country that the best place to live was right where I was standing, Port St. Lucie/Fort Pierce.  That it was the perfect place to live with the best of everything from fishing to weather to the people….and I should probably not want to leave it too quickly.

Sometimes….you get just exactly what you need.  He dried up my tears and when I went back home I somehow appreciated it even more than I already had. Kenny too.  Kenny and I still have this dream of living on the road –and after announcing what we were doing we learned that it was also the dream of so many of our friends!–  but we’ll put it off for now…wait until we are older and more financially secure and perhaps by then I’ll be ready to give up my stuff. He also told me to start getting rid of my stuff little by little so it would not be so hard for me down the road to living on the road,  so I’ve begun doing that and I have started going through my things and getting rid of some of my stuff on ebay.

I’m ever grateful to this man who had no name until I found him on the internet today. The man with the SunSkeeter with the lived-in smile and the sun-kissed skin in his comfortable camping chair who touched my life in so many ways 🙂   Thank you.

The Challenge of Narrowing Down Your New Home on the Road

Of all the things to consider when taking it on the road, the one most important thing for me is being able to cook and eat right and not resort back to a poison, pre-packaged lifestyle, eating GMO’s or pesticide and herbicide infused food because I don’t have the facilities to prepare decent meals.  Therefore, to  me, that important part of this whole thing is the kitchen.   For Kenny, I’m not actually sure what the most important part of the home on wheels is to him other than the adventure itself,  but you can be sure it better have a roomy bathroom lol

So I’ve spent the last few days really researching what kind of home on the road will become my home and we’ve decided that we are most likely going to go for the fifth wheel over the Class A because there is more space and it’s more economical and the value won’t depreciate as much if we take care of it.  We just have to worry that the vehicle that pulls it is safe and economical and lasts as long as possible with miles on the road so we’re going to be getting a heavy duty 1 ton diesel vehicle to pull this thing.  The other factor is money.  We don’t want to spend more than 1/2 of the cost of our home on both the vehicle and the fifth wheel so now we ponder new or used after we figure out what we actually want.

Kenny checking out a Class A Motor Home this past week

Having just moved from New York to Florida, I had to downsize my wardrobe because there was no longer a need for wool and flannel in the warmer climate.  Now I will have to downsize yet again into a world with few nick-nacks and fewer clothes than I have now because there is something I won’t have on the road that I have a lot of here —closet space!

SO for me it’s all about a kitchen and a decent closet.  Kenny and I looked at a Class A Motor home the other day and both of these things left a LOT to be desired.  When I saw the size of the closet I would have to contend with on this motor home I almost fainted. When I saw the kid-sized stove it reminded me of a stove from a child’s playhouse.  ~Not having it~  Especially when I’m so in love with the beautiful kitchen in my beautiful little house that I’ll be leaving…..lets just say I was having sleepless moments of heartache.  So I came home and started web-researching our other choices and getting input from friends after my first blog-posting and I found out about fifth wheels and how much roomier they are and well, then I saw this….

Well, anyway, it’s not looking that heartbreaking after all.  I’ll let you in on what we decide and the road to get on the road as it all comes down…

So I’ll leave you until Friday when Kenny and I embark on our first RV show in Palm Springs.  Like I said, it all comes down to what we can afford in the end.  We’re doing this to live more free not to have more debt so we have to factor everything in.

So ladies……this isn’t looking to shabby now, is it?  I can do this!

Gigi Bowman, Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Clean Food

The first day of the rest of our lives…. living free?

Ok….so Kenny retired, we moved from New York to Florida and bought the perfect little house on the water with a pool…..and yet we still have to keep working because he’s too young to touch his own money without giving the government their cut.  And you wonder why I hate the government?  Knowing full well they line their pockets with our tax $ so they can use it to make more for their pockets and killing women and children in far off lands so the war profiteers can become billionaires….. I could go on and on but really I just want to live my life so I’ll stop here.

So we’re doing this.  We’re selling the house and making a decision on which way to go –Class A motor home or Fifth-wheel.

This is the beginning of the blog of my life on the road (for now, until Kenny is old enough to touch his own money without having to give SO MUCH OF IT TO THE GOVERNMENT).

So stay tuned.   And anyway…..now I’ll be able to get on the road and visit all of you, my friends in Liberty.  We’re excited.  I’m scared.  I have to give up all my earthly possessions and this is making me cry but I’ll be ok.  I will.  It’s just a new way of life…but life is short and really, this is going to be the adventure of our lives.

The journey begins now….

Decisions decisions…..

Are Today’s Youth Any Worse Than YOU Were?

How many of you “old folks” (before the days of social networking) ever went to a party in your youth that got out of hand? You know the kind….where the parents went away on vacation and three high schools worth of kids showed up from telephone tag and word of mouth?

maxresdefault (2)

I know I went to about 3 of those…..everything in the kitchen cabinets and refrigerator down to the mustard and ketchup were eaten. People having sex in every room. Drugs being dispensed throughout.

I went to one where one of my girlfriend thought she’d have a little party and 200 people showed up including guys pulling up on the lawn on their motorcycles. We were only high school kids. I was 15. This was the 70’s.

Today the kids have the ability to tweet, facebook, yik yak, snap chat and God knows what else and mobs can be formed in seconds. These sorts of parties are now a constant.

The kids today are no different than the kids were in the past –they just have more technology to “get the job done”.

I hate that people forget what they were like as kids and put down the youth of today as if they are xtra-specially bad. In fact, I think they’re not as bad as the kids I knew growing up. Most of my friends if they had grown up today would probably be in jail for all the shenanigans they did as kids.

I watched that video yesterday of the police officer and the kids and none of those kids was doing anything that deserved that sort of treatment. One was calling for her mama.

EMPATHY

We paid for their cell phones. We gave them computers and the ability to want and need. We let them watch all that television and we showered them with everything life had to offer….. and now that they are here we want to call the police and blame them for being bad and wrong and rotten to the core and take none of the responsibility ourselves.

Let me tell you….the kids of today are more accommodating to one another. They are less racist and more empathetic. They have more empathy and they are more patient with one another.

There will ALWAYS be bad seeds…there will ALWAYS be those who are completely run a muck with ho sense of decency or conscience. I see this in adults too. As I always say, throw 16 kids on an island –some will lead, some will follow and some will kill.

What’s gotten worse?

The fact that packs can form in seconds because of technology.

The fact that we have put individuals in the spotlight in seconds by having websites where people can play out their greatest fantasy in celluloid in a minutia.

The fact that our government has gotten too big.

The fact that our police have become militarized.

The fact that we have a society that is completely distracted by reality tv to the point where it is the front page while on the back page where no one is paying attention we are being poisoned and enslaved by corporations in bed with our government and it seems as if there is no stopping this from happening…..

The kids of today have no future. They don’t have that same dream of being a homeowner or getting married and having a family or even a job. This has been stolen from them. I talk to kids in their twenties every day and many of them don’t even plan on having kids or even believe they will ever live on their own. Many teens have grown up way too fast and seen too much too early in life. Many have been drugged from the time they could walk and medication is a way of life. Many are the product of divorce or parent’s losing their homes and lives to bankers and market crashes.

A-Mona-Vale-house-party-got-out-of-control-on-Saturd-6322203

Many are in debt and they haven’t even begun their lives yet….

It seems like doom and gloom all around. But it doesn’t have to be. Hold on to your family. Put restrictions on your kids. Teach them responsibility. Don’t give in to Big Pharma. Bring everything back home and closer to you. If you have young children and can afford to live less lavishly, home school them. Feed them healthy whole foods and stay away from the poisons that the government/corporations are feeding us to keep them wealthy.

Begin again….. have empathy…. stop blaming everyone else…..

Dear Generation Y…..The Pillsbury Dough Boy and I

I was born in 1959.  For the most part I grew up with all the “new and improved” in life.  The sixties and seventies were a time of ‘wonderful’ new inventions and conveniences so that people had more time for…..work?  I’m not sure what the reason was but I grew up with the likes of the Pillsbury Dough Boy and the Kool-Aid Kid.  Sweet N’Low and Twinkies.  I had no idea until now that making biscuits was as easy as spending 10 minutes putting together some flour, buttermilk and baking soda. I didn’t realize until 55 years later that I could make my life more convenient by living longer and eating right rather than spending time going to the doctor –as I watch my parents, generation Y, make a social life out of doctor visits.

Why was it so hard for this generation that bore me to get vegetables from a market rather than opening a can?  Why was a frozen TV dinner or pot pie turned into a nightly meal for most of my peers?  Why did we stop putting butter on our bread and opt instead for a ‘crown’?

life1501

Taystee Cakes, My-T-Fine Pudding, Shake ‘n Bake, Cheez Whiz, Spaghetti O’s…..  It took me until now to realize I could cook with real ingredients and whole food and make these same things from scratch in the same amount of time….. And I work, clean my house, paint furniture, fight the state, run for office, run organizations, food shop and play and watch TV and have time to write a blog too….     Was it worth all that ‘convenience’ to live on a daily regime of pills to keep you alive generation Y?

Now we not only have chemicals in our food but our entire food system is destroyed by a company that used the same ‘ingredients’ to kill the enemy in your war against the Vietnamese –the chosen enemy at the time to keep the military industrial complex alive and happy.   Somehow in return for ‘convenience’ your children grew up on toxic chemicals with tiny marshmallows until their own children –our children today– live in a world diagnosed with acronyms and are prescribed more chemicals to ensure they are customers for life to the heads of the state of Big Pharma.

grands-bisuits

What happened? When did a biscuit become thirty something chemicals with some salt on top? When did the Pillsbury Dough Boy become the biggest balloon at the parade to the smiling faces of a generation of chemically poisoned children?

Well I’m here to tell you that you can do it.  You can make biscuits.  You can make biscuits that require only a few ingredients and it will take you the same amount of time as it does to pop open a can and separate the little disgusting chemically induced dough pieces and slide them into the oven.

IMG_5812

Recipe:

2 Cups of Flour

2 tsp of Baking Powder

1/2 tsp of Baking Soda

1 tsp of Salt

1 stick of Butter

3/4 cup of Buttermilk

Pre-heat Oven to 425 degrees.  Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda & salt.  Cut 6 tablespoons of cold butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse meal.  Stir in buttermilk.  Place dough by ice-cream scoop size lumps onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Brush with a little melted butter. Bake 10 – 15 minutes until tops are golden.

(I used all organic ingredients and added fresh herbs – sage, rosemary and thyme)

Yeah, that’s real hard to do……

IMG_5813

The dough boy needs to die off because he’s killing us and our kids.  Foods of convenience –thank you for nothing generation Y.  Why did you forego real food for chemicals in a box?  Time for us to go back to basics.

Endorsement for Peter Nichols who is running Anti-Party –the kind of Party We Should All Be Supporting

TH_peternichols-300x224

I keep trying to step away from politics but it keeps sucking me back in when I least expect it.  I was having fun zombie-ing out and watching my reality TV shows and shoving bonbons down my mouth while getting my nails done when along comes this little article in the local Huntingtonian newspaper that knocks my socks off…..  Peter Nichols, who once ran for Huntington Town Council as a Libertarian, has decided to run for County Legislature in Suffolk’s 17th district…..and he’s running as a write-in candidate!

It’s not that there is no time to collect signatures or that he has no manpower behind him or that he doesn’t have enough donations –but, the most liberty minded libertarian I’ve ever met, has come to realize after doing it once before that going out there and using up all your time and energy and resources and the time and energy of your friends and family to collect signatures on a third party line is the most RIDICULOUS THING ANYONE COULD POSSIBLY DO!

The two party system on Long Island is filled with criminals in office with expendable lawyers and cash it seems (WAIT –is that expendable cash your taxpayer money?? Probably :)) and they go after anyone who runs third party by challenging their signatures.  Peter knows this.  I know this.   They took me to the 5th level supreme court to waste my time, energy and dollars by challenging my 5,191 signatures during the 2014 State Senatorial race for 5th district.  It’s what they do.  It’s the game they play.  The Republicans and Democrats tag team off of each other taking turns which third party candidates to go after.  In all my years in the Libertarian party it’s been one candidate after another –out there spending their summer collecting signatures AFTER the Republicans and Democrats have done so, I might add, so that they can spend the second part of their summer in court trying to prove they didn’t commit fraud!   It’s a vicious cycle and it’s not going to end as long as the people keep on voting for these scam artist.  Third parties don’t have the donations and income in order to market themselves like the BIG TWO –especially when whatever donations they bring in ends up getting spent on frivolous lawsuits. Many of the lawyers and judges in these cases can do this in their sleep.  It’s a ploy and a tactic to keep ordinary American citizens from joining the rat pack of American politics.

Peter is going to run as a write-in candidate and he’s not going to spend any time or money WASTING his time and money collecting any signatures.  Imagine if the people in the 17th legislative district woke up and took a stand and made a statement that could possibly domino into something grand and great like taking our country back??  Something so simple as walking into the polling place on election day and writing in a candidates name rather than voting party line.

How many more articles in Newsday do we have to be subjected to giving us the skinny on yet another NY legislature or party boss getting arrested for fraud? Haven’t we seen enough of this? Aren’t we tired of paying taxes to line the pockets of these criminals who seem to be making more laws and rules that tip in their favor?
Here’s what you get if you write in Peter Nichols’ name…..a man who truly believes in freedom, liberty and small government. A man who doesn’t want to create any more laws to control your life or to generate more income for the mob squad running our government now.  Take a stand on election day and stop voting for the reason’s we are the most expensive place to live in the country with the biggest criminals in office.  Write-in your vote.  Do the Write thing.

Taking a Break from Saving the World –My Inner Martha Stewart returned.

I thought I’d take a break from politics –remember? Well, my break includes working on the “Liberty” Documentary and co-organizing Libertyfest NYC 6.  I have been staying away from trying to save my community or the “state” of legislature anywhere in this country (I’m not sure I care anymore John Bush 🙂  –I have instead been painting furniture and cooking organic and setting people up to purchase gold.

11029482_10152642265456415_6809624458582984032_n

I have my heirloom seeds budding in the window sill and I’ve stenciled some flower pots while awaiting my full grown organic/non-gmo herbs to arrive so I can keep my grass-fed beef stews in good flavor.  Going through my old furniture and freshening it up –lo and behold my inner Martha Stewart has arrived!

IMG_5124

People keep emailing me and telling me all the things I should be doing and should be involved in but I sort of wish that people would just take the initiative themselves sometimes and realize that I’m kind of tired.  It’s time for other things right now.  Time to slow down and let someone else take the liberty reigns.  Obviously I haven’t stopped caring about liberty and freedom and trying to spread the message or I wouldn’t be involved in liberty events and I still am….I just can’t deal anymore with party politics and people saying “it’s time for us to run candidates for local office…” because I tried that and mostly people are just full of shit. What’s the point in running candidates when no one at these coffee klatch meetings actually really does anything when someone finally does step up to run –then they actually have to stop master-debating and lifting their arm to fill their pie-hole with beer.   I know I sound cynical and It’s because I am!  After you’ve gone about as far as you can go and realize that people rather sit in a room on a sunny day and fight about by-laws then actually go outside to get the job done…… I mean, how many times do you have to be hit in the head with the same brick before  you come to the final conclusion that you have wasted enough time doing the same thing over and over again….knowing the results will be the same few people doing all the work.

abcde

So we’re getting ready for spring at our house and skipping a lot of meetings we previously attended because I believed that rallying up the troops was going to bring us more liberty.  Honestly, I don’t have anymore answers to anything.  Just LIVE free as much as you can.  Live each day to it’s fullest. Get your seeds in order.  Get some sunshine….. and play some poker with your old friends and revisit your Inner Martha Stewart 🙂

Libertyfest NYC 6 – A Funeral for New York

10856447_743330288653_7464383945714595928_o

Back in 2010 Ian Cioffi, all by himself, found a venue and started inviting people from the liberty movement to come down and rant –and rant they did.  That was the day I discovered what a wonder Catherine Bleish was. She gave a speech that still gives me goosebumps. It was the day I realized anarchy had been born and that not everyone was buying into “voting” or “politics as usual” even though many of the speakers at the event were liberty candidates that had been endorsed through my organization and that many who were running for congress had flown across the country just to be at this “fest” which was one of the first of it’s kind….and may actually be the last of its kind.

100_4119

In 2011, Libertyfest 2 went from a small venue to giant spectacle. Chris Cantwell was still wearing a suit and doing stand-up.  800 people showed up and it was one of the largest “fest” in the country –and certainly one of the most successful.  There were 28 speakers and the all day event went into an after party that lasted till the wee hours of the night.  The event was publicized for more than 6 months and it had no lack of every facet of liberty. Everyone from Tom Woods and Mike Church to Anarchist, Stefan Molyneux to Antiwar advocates like Scott Horton and truth tellers like Richard Gage.  There was no lack of sponsors and vendors and everyone wanted to be part of standing up for liberty.  Right before the 2012 presidential elections Ron Paul rEVolutionaries filled the room and  RevPac headed by Gary Franchi and Tom Woods introduced the Plastic Man commercial at the event. Jordan Page provided the soundtrack for libertyfest once again. It was a time filled with optimism and hope for the future.

2012 and Libertyfest III moved into a smaller, more trendy venue –basically because it was realized that when you put a room full of libertarians together people just can’t stop talking and it was hard to hear the speakers in 2011.  The date was also moved to October and it was a month before the 2012 election and there was a Solemnness to this event that had not been felt in the previous two “fest”.  Rand Paul had endorsed Mitt Romney,  Mitt was the Republican candidate and the parade of anarchist at libertyfest had grown larger.  At this Libertyfest we had speakers who were now offering solutions since the hope of a Ron Paul election was no longer a possibility.  Michael Boldin came in to speak about Nullification. Richard Mack came in to speak about States Rights. John Bush talked about sustainable living and Stefan Molyneux now had a following, triple of what he had at the libertyfest the year before. Times were changing fast.  rEVOLutionaries were now exchanging their Ron Paul for President signs and waving “Free State” banners and Voluntarist badges on their shirts.

2013 saw no libertyfest because it had to be postponed due to conflicting events so in 2014 we saw Libertyfest 4 and 5.  Libertyfest 4 showed that women were now stepping up to pave the way to liberty. All of the speakers were ladies of liberty and they had plenty to rant about.  We saw a debate between sweetheart of liberty, Julie Borowski, and the feminist, Cathy Reisenwitz; rants from Josie Wales on the Police State and, Whistle-blower, Kristen Megan on Geo-Engineering. We had educational speeches on social media, a speech on the vaccine issue, a speech about moving to the Free State and finding liberty in our own lifetime and even I, NY State Senatorial Candidate, stepped up to the plate with a speech about why I was running for office.

TRACY-DIAZ-02

Libertyfest 5 brought us to a new place. Liberty candidates were running for local office all over the country and it seemed a new wave of liberty-lovers had entered the scene which brought with it new speakers with fresh ideas telling us to stop preaching and to take action as well as those who were taking action by turning their past experiences into positive motivation like Adam Kokesh and his book, Freedom.

October 10 & 11, 2015 brings Libertyfest 6.  The event is so huge it’s grown to 2 days and we’re going back to last year’s venue, The Warsaw, in the trendy area of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, because of the convenience to park and the Pierogies –Polish food and a great stage where you can hear the speakers, who could ask for anything more?   The keynote speaker at this years event is Ben Swann. Ben, who came in through the Ron Paul rEVOution as one of the only advocates for truth in media, is bringing with him the optimism that we have now taken into our own hands.  The liberty movement is no longer a movement about one man and hoping to get him elected so he could be our savior but instead the liberty movement has become about US, you and I, and how WE are taking our own personal liberty into our own hands and by doing so, amassing an army of more awake and aware beings who can stand together with us to fight an oppressive government that seems to be knocking on our doors to infringe on our speech, our internet, our amendments and our personal freedom.

Issues that will be spoken about at this 6th Libertyfest NYC range from those who give us the truths that need to be told like journalist and activist, Luke Rudkowski who founded We Are Change and Antiwar.com director, Angela Keaton to those who are awakening other’s through all forms of media like the art of Anthony Freda or the author, James Perloff, who’s book about the shadow government, will be featured in the upcoming film Shadowring.

We also have newcomers to liberty like Belle Knox, who made headlines when it was revealed that she was paying for her tuition at Duke University by doing porn and Michelle Ray, host of In Deep, Publishing editor at IJ Review, and Independent Social Media Consultant.

We also have lots of issues being spoken about this year –everything from Agenda 21 with Rosa Koire who through her website Democrats against UN Agenda 21 has reached people worldwide to bring awareness to how this issue is affecting our own communities to Ademo, founding member of CopBlock.org ,which brings awareness to the police state and how we can prevent abuse and corruption by law enforcement.

Check out the website lfnyc.com.  Speakers are being added daily and with this amazing, long standing event lasting two full days, it’s turned into a Libertyfest like no other! Come for the learning experience and the chance to be informed, come for the camaraderie with those who are on the same page but most of all, come for the pierogies 😉

Buying 1 Gram At A Time Is The Only Way I Can Afford to Do It…………. Buying Gold

sound-money

Sure, it was easy buying silver. I went to Porcfest and everyone was exchanging in silver. There were early-day quarters and dimes with pictures of past presidents being exchanged for bacon and there were beautiful minted silver circles being sold at long tables with Ron Paul’s face on them or pretty floral pictures of marijuana. Knowing that I might be buying something that could be used in exchange for bacon should the dollar crash….well; let’s just say I was hooked.

But GOLD?  No way —I could not possibly afford to buy an ounce of Gold –not when it was at its highest or even its lowest.  Hey, I live on Long Island –in case you haven’t heard it’s the most expensive place to live in the country.  Buying gold was not even comprehensible….  and then, one day, my friend, Kristen Megan, gave me a gift and it was a Karatbar.  I looked at it and it made no sense to me –what the hell is this?  Upon further inspection I saw a little 24 Karat bar inside this credit card look-a-like and the first thing I wanted to do, being a girl, was rip it out of the card and put it on a chain and make a necklace out of it!  Girls will be girls 🙂

But then I started reading about it and the next thing I knew I started to understand that this was my only way of buying gold affordably as well as not have to worry about how to store it –I mean, us women are pretty good with cards after all.  We have our DSW card and our Hallmark Gold Crown card and our Macy’s and our Starbucks card too. When it comes to cards and storing them I’m an expert. So once again, I was hooked.  I also realized that I could now buy gold for gifts because they make these nifty little cards for birthdays and holidays and what’s a better gift than Gold? How many Home Goods cards does one have to receive at a wedding shower?  B-O-R-I-N-G –I’m going to give the gift of GOLD!!

karatbars-new-babygold-wedding-cards

The prices are not stable but what I buy today might be worth triple tomorrow (or it can go the other way as well) but as I see it, it’s win/win because if the price of gold goes down that low –I’m going to have necklaces and charm bracelets that have little gold bullions hanging from them at an affordable price 🙂  –a hell of a lot cheaper than I would pay at the jewelry store lol

So now I’m not only buying but I’m also selling —Need Gold? Because it’s affordable –and maybe one day I’ll actually own an entire ounce.  One gram at a time 🙂

The Resurgence of the Liberty Movement through film, media, art and events

Rosa Koire will be in the film ShadowRing due out this April. Have you read her book, Behind the Green Mask?

421312_123641941095023_368856681_nThe SPLC says Agenda 21 is a Conspiracy Theory

The Daily Kos calls Agenda 21 a Hoax and Rosa Koire who is behind “Democrats against Agenda 21” a bunch of hoaxters….

Why is it that everything that even touches on overreach of government becomes a “Hoax” by the left? The SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center) is also funded in part by the DHS (Department of Homeland Security) –but somehow this is never mentioned by those same people who like to call, every time you question something, a “conspiracy theory”.

We’re in pretty dangerous times. I think all you have to do is look at Obama’s Trade Agreement known as the Trans Pacific Partnership or TPP,  which has bi-partisan opposition to realize that NONE OF THIS is Conspiracy! The TPP is the monster and everything we have been fighting is tied into it. So why do we have Republicans fast tracking this? What the hell is going on?

If you don’t know what the TPP is find out.  You can’t fight something if you have no idea what’s going on. That’s half our problem in this country –so many people are too worried about what Kanye West is saying or Kim Kardasian is exposing to look into what might be affecting your own families in the near future –everything from common core education to smart meters in your home to pesticides in the DNA of your food.

Well the good news is that there just may be a resurgence of Liberty.  Lots of good stuff coming up to bring awareness to the issues.  Through Film, Media, Art and Events you may be seeing a lot of the same names coming to a theater near you or a liberty event that’s in it’s 6th edition.

ShadowRing, due out in April, stars the author of The Shadows of Power, James Perloff whom the movie is based on.  It also stars such liberty notables as Adam Kokesh who has his own resurgence of liberty taking place through his book Freedom which you can purchase on Amazon.  Catherine Bleish, known as BitMom, author at Bitcoin magazine who also blogs for Sovereign Living, an organization run by her and her husband John Bush. Ben Swann, one of the foremost liberty journalist in the country and one of the few journalist you can trust to get the truth out through his internet publication, Truth in Media.  Other notables in the film are Katherine Albrecht, Rosa Koire, Chuck Baldwin, Anthony Antonello, Jack Blood, Gigi Bowman, and G. Edward Griffin.  These are names you have heard over and over again for years who have tried to awaken the world to loss of liberty but also offer tried and true solutions.  Check out info about ShadowRing on Facebook.

21

Libertyfest NYC 6, coming in October, will be showcasing speakers, Ben Swann, Adam Kokesh, James Perloff, Gigi Bowman, Rosa Koire and other’s whom are appearing in the film, ShadowRing, mentioned above.  Libertyfest will be also be presenting liberty notables like independent journalist and founder of We Are ChangeLuke Rudkowski;  Independent social media consultant, editor at IJ Review and Radio Host, Michelle Ray; Artist, Anthony Freda, the man behind another film due this year – Behind Truth Art; and filmmaker, entrepreneur and soon to be candidate for office, David Michael Lynch.

Check out the website to keep up with the announcements of more amazing speakers. This is sure to be an awe inspiring event that you may want to bring your friends and family to. It’s time for all of us to do our part to educate ourselves about the issues that are hitting us hard in every direction. It’s events like this that we really need more of in order to bring awareness and amass a larger army of awakened and aware to fight back the injustice taking place all around us.

10887410_738451815153_8541877076147020459_o

Behind Truth Art, by filmmaker, John Massaria, is another film due out in 2015 and will star Anthony Freda who was recently asked to submit a piece of his “truth” artwork for the 9/11 Museum collection in NYC.  What ensues after he submits the piece of art is very interesting.  Many of the stars of this film are some of the same people listed above as well as many other’s in the liberty movement like Trend Forecaster, Gerald Celente and activist Kristen Meghan, former U.S. Airforce Whistleblower.j  These two people who also spoke at an event I personally held in 2014 called the Save Long Island Forum. This event alone had eighteen speakers focusing on 18 issues like GMO food, Smart Meters, Loss of Constitutional rights and much much more. You can still see all the videos and speeches from that event at the website.

Liberty is on the rise and is evident by the number of those working hard to bring awareness to the issues affecting all of us.  There are probably enough links in this blog piece to keep you busy for a few days and have you coming out of the rabbit hole a little bit more aware of who the enemy is and who is out there fighting for your rights.

Died and Went to Heaven, Chocolate Pudding

Real Food.  You can’t compare anything to it –but it will cost you!  Growing up on My-T-Fine Chocolate Pudding I missed that taste but since I’m only eating clean food in my home these days I can’t bring myself to buy a box of powder called pudding that includes ingredients I abhor.

Sugar, Cornstarch, Cocoa (Processed with Alkali), Food Starch Modified, Salt, Partially Hydrogenated Cottonseed and Soybean Oils, Artificial Flavors, Calcium Carrageenan (Texturizer), Artificial Color (Contains Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Red 40, Blue 1), Milk, Autolyzed Yeast Extract (Contains Glutamate), Soy Flour.

Yes, you’re adding your own milk –which in itself, if you’re not using raw milk, has its own set of poisons– but as far as I can see it’s just another processed food I grew up on that brought a fast and furious sweet tooth into my life and made me believe that I can eat anything I wanted within 10 minutes time by pouring it out of a box, adding milk and stirring.

I missed that taste of My-T-Fine pudding. I tried the organic version and that tasted like crap and I was about to relent and go buy a box of this childhood-in-a-box chocolate fairy dust powder when I came upon a recipe for real homemade, all natural ingredients, chocolate pudding…..  and it cost me big time.  When I say it cost me, it cost like $10 bucks to make 3 servings and a lot of time…… was it worth it? You betcha!

Chocolate pudding is a special treat. It’s not something you’re supposed to eat every day or every week –it’s something you make once in a blue moon like a chocolate cake for a birthday or blueberry muffins for a special Sunday treat.  But growing up in the processed-food-world of my childhood I thought that pudding along with Twinkies, Tasty-cakes, Devil Dogs and Cheez-its were something to have on hand for nightly gorging in front of  I Love Lucy reruns….  and I taught this to my kids when I went grocery shopping and made sure to pick up the packages of Oreo’s, Mallomars, Yodel’s and a Nestle’s Quik box of goodness to wash down with our antibiotic enhanced milk!  But hey, the kids were drinking their milk and this made for good bones! “Got Milk?”

o-GOT-MILK-570

So today I bring you REAL chocolate pudding. The kind that cost $10 bucks to make, that I will not be making very often. The kind that I will savor every bite of and lick off my fingers too…..  This yummy deliciousness is like dying and going to chocolate heaven.

Deep Chocolate Pudding

(my ingredients are in parenthesis)

7 oz. Dark Chocolate (I used 2 organic Trader Joe’s Cocoa Bar’s at 3.5 oz each)

2 Cups of Whole Milk (mine was raw)

1 Cup of Heavy Cream (mine was raw)

3/4 cup of sugar (organic and I used less –about 1/2 cup)

1/4 cup of Cocoa (Cacao Powder Organic raw)

1/4 tsp salt (Mediterranean pink Sea Salt)

1/4 Cup Cornstarch (Organic Cornstarch)

1/4 Cup [1/2 Stick Butter] (Raw with Celtic Sea Salt)

3/4 tsp of vanilla extract (I didn’t use it because I forgot)

Chop chocolate into very fine pieces. Combine chocolate, 1 3/4 cup of milk, cream, sugar, cocoa & salt in a large sauce pan.  Stir vigorously with a whisk over medium heat until mixture simmers and is smooth and thick.  Stir the remaining 1/4 cup of milk with 1/4 cup of cornstarch together and whisk into the chocolate mixture. Simmer for a minute while whisking and scraping sides.  Add butter and cook one minute more. Stir in vanilla.  Makes 5 cups.

All I can say is enjoy.  Lick your fingers, lick your spoon. Lick the pot and don’t do this too often!  Not everything in life is meant to be indulged on a constant basis 🙂

Bye Bye Microwave Oven

I did it!  I finally read my last negative story about microwave safety. I read my last story about Russia banning them and Good Housekeeping saying there is nothing wrong with them and debunking.com saying that anyone who thinks that eating microwaved food is a safety hazard is a conspiracy theorist and on and on yipyapyuk……  I took the damned thing and threw it to the curb!

IMG_4547

First of all the space it’s taking up is ridiculous.  Why do I have this giant electronic box taking up all this space in my kitchen to defrost frozen vegetables? To melt butter? to heat up left overs so they taste like crap?  Why?   I remember back int he 80’s when the Microwave oven was all the rage. I had just gotten married and we went to the store and got the biggest one we could find that had the most buttons to push with names of food on it like popcorn and baked potato and DEFROST…..omg –just the thought that I could defrost dinner in no time at all was enough to send me off into efficiency heaven!  Well, in the last 30 years I remember defrosting food a handful of times and the reason I didn’t do it was because it always sort of cooked the outside of whatever I was defrosting and made the meat or chicken so unappetizing and hard around the edges after I finally cooked whatever it was.

So after thinking about it I asked myself what did I use the microwave oven for?  Well, lets see -I microwaved popcorn for a long long time until I woke up from the dead and realized that the reason I felt sick after eating that garbage was because it was just that –garbage. I would feel actual constriction in my chest every time I ate it –but some how, after doing it for so many years, I think I forgot that you could actually take a handful of nice organic corn kernels and throw them into some virgin olive oil and get some nice fluff that wouldn’t contribute to an early death or a slow kill.  Here —The Food Babe will tell you every reason why this crap will kill you and it’s in the bag.

Ok, what else did I use it for? Heating the water for my morning tea.  That’s right –putting a cup of water in the microwave for 2 minutes and 30 seconds every single day was the reason I had this giant electronic box on my counter taking up precious space.  Nothing more nothing less.  I don’t cook frozen dinners….I usually only make fresh vegetables….I cook a lot of things that cook slowly on the stove or for hours in my oven…..and that is the key word –OVEN!  Ovens can heat, broil, bake , melt and even dehydrate!  I actually sliced up fresh vegetables from my garden last summer and I put them in my oven with olive oil and sea salt and cooked them on 200 degrees for like 5 hours and I got the most delicious dried vegetables you can imagine.  Ovens are great –get some nice cast iron pots and pans and find out how great your oven can be to you and how wonderful food can cook whether you think you have the time or not.  What does it take –5 minutes to boil some water? Get a nice cast iron teapot and it will take 2 minutes and 30 seconds and you don’t have to wonder why even your tea taste like dirty water.  As Nadia Arumugam from The Chew will tell you

“a proper cup of black tea must be made with water that’s come to a rolling boil. A kettle is designed to heat water evenly to 212 degrees Fahrenheit….But microwaves don’t heat water evenly, so the boiling process is difficult to control. Microwave ovens shoot tiny waves into the liquid at random locations, causing the water molecules at those points to vibrate rapidly. If the water isn’t heated for long enough, the result is isolated pockets of very hot or boiling water amid a larger body of water that’s cooler. Such water may misleadingly exhibit signs of boiling despite not being a uniform 212 degrees.”

There is a lot of controversy concerning the microwave oven.  A little girl did a school project showing how watering plants with regular tap water vs. water that was microwaved (and cooled) killed the plant over time.  There are now a myriad of videos showing this sort of thing and just as many debunking them. Snopes, of course, says it’s lies all lies (and if Snopes says something is true or false –that is all you need to fact check, correct? lol).  Mercola and Oz and the Health Ranger say microwaves are no good. The World Health Organization and the FDA say they are perfectly fine…..   Well, guess what –these days I tend to put my faith and trust in alternative science and not those government organizations that are supposed to be looking out for us lol…..  can you say Aspartame? GMO food?  Yeah, I trust the FDA to give me good advice 🙂

Anyway, whether it be for health concerns or not —I threw out my microwave oven and guess what….
LOOK AT ALL THE SPACE I HAVE!  Now I can use the counter space for rolling out dough for pie-making or cookies. I can sit down and read my cook books and have a cup of tea. I can organize my kitchen items and make room for canisters to put beans or flour…. the possibilities are endless!  I feel like the albatross in the room is on my curb and I’ve simplified my life for 2015.   I just don’t understand why I needed this machine in my life to begin with.  Marketing sure makes us do and get lots of things that we really don’t need and may actually end up being health concerns. Life is too short. Enjoy taking that few moments to boil your water and hear the kettle whistle….it’s the little things that bring joy.

Can’t wait to enjoy my new space and make some pie!

UPDATE:  A friend of mine was kind enough to let us know that there is a usefulness to a microwave oven so read up on the following all you preppers! :

Milk Chicken? …..and Bone Broth Soup – 2 Meals for the price of one :)

Why is there a question mark in the title?  I realize that I’m spending more time in the “pursuit of clean food” portion of my blog than I am in the Life and Liberty –but perhaps my life of liberty has become clean food?  Anyway, the bottom line is I love to cook, I love finding new recipes and trying them out –and along the way I’m going to try things that perhaps may turn out great –or may turn out not so great –or even suck…..  so I’m sharing, learning and teaching at the same time.  I wish I could talk to Mrs. Ron Paul about this stuff dammit –her and her new gorgeous kitchen that Ron Paul bought her. Someone please tell her to unblock me on facebook!  (that’s another story for another time lol)

Well here goes with the Milk Chicken.  There are quite a few recipes for this on the net and basically they are all the same –but what I got at the end of this I blame on the cast iron Dutch oven that I talked about previously.  Turns out that my little chicken…..sort of melted into a creamy sagey melding of flavors that was almost too flavorful.

Here is the original recipe by chef Jamie Olivers

and here is what I made

1 Soy Free Organic Chicken from the “farm” 2.5 to 3 lbs

10 cloves of organic garlic, unpeeled

1 cinnamon stick stolen from my daughter the holistic massage therapist in training who has a cabinet with her potion ingredients in the basement –the recipe called for a 1/2 stick but I could not figure out how to cut it in half lol

2 1/3 cups of raw milk

1 handful of fresh organic sage (leaves taken off stems)

Zest from 1 lemon –the recipe called for two but I only had one

S&P, butter, olive oil –more milk and a little water at the end.

This was the chicken after I browned it and drowned it in the milk

First I took the fresh chicken and fried that sucker up in olive oil and butter after I seasoned it with sea salt and pepper and kept turning it over in the cast iron frying pan until all the sides were nice and brown.

I transferred it to the red cast iron Dutch oven and pre-heated the oven to 375 degrees, threw all the ingredients above into the bottom of the pot, put the chicken in the center, and poured the milk over it!

That’s it.  Now I wait.  2 1/2 hours in the pot at 375 degrees….. lets see what comes out…..I’m going to make some mashed potatoes and pour that milk gravy right over it.

….or so I thought lol

What the hell is this??

IMG_4512IMG_4511

OK, so I checked out some pictures of other people trying this recipe and no one else’s looked like mine. Apparently that cast iron Dutch oven is like the terminator of food stuffs –put a chicken in and it disintegrates.  The chicken has the consistency of pulled pork –and that is not such a bad thing but it’s nothing like the recipe said it would be!

After forking off the chicken from the bone I was left with a bowl of bones (which I will use later for bone broth) and I found I had to add a bit of milk and filtered water to continue to cook the chicken on the stove top in order to scrape off some of the brown bits along the side which had a lot of the flavor –why let it go to waste?

Anyway –so now I have two meals for the price of one and it was probably the most flavorful chicken I’ve ever eaten.  It’s also healthy and all that garlic, which disintegrated, will probably stave off any disease for at least a week lol.  I served it with some nice organic, skin-on, mashed potatoes which I made with raw butter and raw sour cream and sea salt and cracked black pepper and I heated up some frozen organic peas from Trader Joe’s.

What pissed me off is that it’s really hard to get all the bones out –probably because it was a pretty small chicken –of course I did not get one bone in my plate but my husband did.  Murphy’s damned laws.  No cook ever wants the people they are serving to get the bones dammit.

IMG_4514

Anyway, it really was delicious but I probably won’t be making it again –there are just too many recipes in my future and unless something is so damned good that I need to eat it over and over, I usually try not to make the same thing twice.  So I’m giving this the one-time hat –not that I’ve ever judged anything by hats before or by how many times I’ll make them or will consider making them –but why the hell not? It’s a good idea! lol  This is nothing like my organic linzer tarts that I made for Christmas that I will make over and over again because they were like dying and going to buttery-raspberry-apricot heaven (and I have to make sure that I give them away because the ones that I didn’t give away are a permanent part of my fat ass right now lol)  –oh, here are those linzer tarts…..  I might not tell you how I made those or wait until next year lol

IMG_4396

UPDATE:

Remember part 2 of that chicken –the bone broth?
Well, I let it simmer on low all through the night and all day. About 18 hours.  I strained it –picked off the chicken pieces that were left and threw them in the broth.  Added whatever I could find in the house –so again, here we have Kitchen Sink Soup lol –maybe I should just name this blog “The Kitchen Sink”.

I added, fresh organic kale. Organic pinto beans.  Organic celery. Three large organic mushrooms –hell everything I use is organic so I’m going to stop saying that word and just assume it’s all organic.
Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, a little bit of apple cider vinegar, parsley, dill, lemon pepper, sea salt and cracked black pepper and left over black rice……. it’s simmering now.  This soup is so healthy we’re probably set with enough vitamins for the month of January with this soup alone 🙂
Going to eat it with some Kalamata Olive Sourdough bread and raw butter.  YUMMY!!!

Anyone Can Be A Great Cook With A Good Cast Iron Dutch Oven Pot

If you’re just getting married you might want to forego the crystal glasses that you may never use or the fine china service for 8 and opt for a good cast iron dutch oven pot.   A really good one can cost you around $250 or more.  I managed to find a great one at Marshall’s for $65 and I’ve been a great cook ever since 🙂  All it takes is good clean food, spices, and a little bit of love  –throw it all in the pot, turn the oven on, cover it and BAM!  Magic.  In my world it’s organic magic and no matter how much magic we eat we are losing weight at the Bowman’s ever since cutting out GMO’s and pesticides from our menu.  That’s right –we’ve got real butter, whole fat raw milk, cream, sour cream, raw cheese, soy free eggs and organic pasta as well as grass fed beef, organic pork and poultry and lamb day in and day out…. Kenny lost 25 lbs and I lost 18 lbs by eating good healthy whole food. <—NO DIETING!

Now for the pot…..mine is red and 7 quarts and I call this recipe below Kitchen Sink Pot Roast….. (in other words whatever you find in your fridge throw in the pot)

1 Grass fed Beef Roast  –You choose the kind –you can get your grass fed meat from a variety of places. I recommend USWellnessMeats.com.  Reasonable, free shipping except for a $7.50 handling charge and you have to buy at least 7 lbs of food –not a hard thing to do, believe me. They deliver it safely in two days.  Amazing –the beef sausage is to die for.

Yukon Gold Potatoes, organic, with skin, quartered –I used about 6 small

2 large carrots, organic, with skin, sliced

1 small box mushrooms, organic, whole

1 beet, organic, peeled, cubed

1 Turnip, large, organic, peeled, cubed

Beef Broth, Organic, enough to cover everything

Red Wine –this wasn’t organic but I really need to go get some — use enough to satisfy you. Also, pour a glass for yourself 🙂

Kale, fresh, a handful

Garlic, organic

Shallots, organic

Lemon Juice, organic apple cider vinegar, Salt & Pepper < –these were my choices for flavor –you can add what you like.
No one should follow recipes to a t –it’s stressful and nothing is ever perfect. Remember, most recipes are someone else’s opinion.  Add your own stuff!  Make it your own!

Brown the meat on all sides in some olive oil with sauteed garlic, shallots and s&p.  There was no grease to throw out because there never is with grass fed beef.  Take out browned beef and set aside.  Add broth and wine and heat on low until you get all the brown bits of the meat off the bottom and sides of pot and  you also have some of that garlic and shallots floating around in it too.  Add all of the ingredients, whatever spices you desire and place the meat on top.  Cover and let simmer on stove for about 2 or 3 hours while your watching TV or yapping on Facebook. I might have stirred it once during that time.

When you are ready, take the cover off.  HOLY COW!  Did you cook that? It smells like heaven, the meat falls apart with your fork and all those beautiful juices blended together are completely organic and nutritious. I let it simmer on the stove for like 15 minutes more with no cover to naturally thicken the juices. I think it’s best to serve over rice so you don’t waste a drop of that yumminess and the rice sops up all the juices –I made black rice which is creamy, yummy and nutritious.  Some sourdough bread (sourdough bread is fermented and if you’re going to eat bread –this is probably the best kind) and raw butter –which I never refrigerate. I’m not dead yet lol

Don’t Throw Out That Sour Raw Milk! — And Why You Should Be Drinking Raw Milk Instead of Dead Food

What do you do when your milk goes sour? You throw it out!  It’s awful, it smells and it’s enough to make you barf if you accidentally pour it into your coffee. “Pasteurized milk is dead food –there are no enzymes or probiotics present and the only thing you can do with it is throw it out.” says Sarah, the Healthy Home Economist.  But what do you do when raw milk goes sour?

800px-Latte_025

First of all, in most states raw milk is illegal, go figure. That is how the government seems to work –the good things are illegal and the foods that poison us are available in abundance.  I live in New York where raw milk is not illegal, though I must get it directly from the dairy farmer (this is about the only thing good about living in New York, lol) so I am lucky to have the choice of drinking raw milk. When raw milk goes sour, or clabbered, it is safe to drink. It is also nutritious because it is loaded with enzymes and probiotics.  When raw milk starts to sour, it simply means that beneficial bacteria called probiotics have started to use up the lactose (milk sugar) which causes the milk to no longer taste sweet.  Go ahead….drink it if you like but the list of creations you can make from soured raw milk is endless from kefir to yogurt to baking biscuits! –today I made quiche.

Since my house is already an organic/GMO free household I had a lot of the ingredients I needed hanging around in the cupboard when I noticed my milk had soured so quiche was the best choice for what to do with my chunky, gross looking, sour raw milk.  I probably could have taken the time to whip up a nice crust but I just didn’t want to.  It’s New Year’s day today and I didn’t think any stores would be open but when my husband and I took a drive around town to pick up a few things I saw that Wild By Nature was open and I was able to pick up an organic Wholley Wholesome pie crust, 2 for $4.50, which is pretty reasonable, and a bag each of organic spinach and organic broccoli rabe.  I like to use frozen spinach when making quiche because it makes my life easier –did you ever notice HOW MUCH fresh spinach you need to cook in order to equal a 10 oz. bag of frozen spinach?  Hey, I love to cook as organic and clean as possible but I also try to cut cost whenever possible –certain frozen organic vegetables, like spinach, are worth using. So with what I had hanging around the house, including my two cups of curdled milk, I managed to whip up a broccoli rabe and cheddar quiche and a spinach, mushroom and bacon quiche.

These ingredients are what I had in my house –you can make a quiche with whatever you find in yours. The bottom line is you need 4 eggs, a cup of cheese and a cup of sour milk –or you can use regular milk if you like as well but the purpose of this article was what to do with that awful looking raw milk in the fridge with all the nutrients and I would NOT recommend using sour pasteurized milk –throw that out in the garbage where it belongs!

Spinach, Mushroom & Bacon Quiche

Pie Crust (homemade or store bought if desired)

1 bag of organic frozen spinach 10oz or an equal amount of fresh if you are able to)

4 large mushrooms, sliced and sautéed in a little olive oil with garlic, green onions, and shallots

3 slices of bacon cooked and minced

1 cup of raw white cheddar cheese (use whatever cheese you can find in your fridge)

1/3 cup of Parmesan cheese

4 soy free organic eggs (this is my choice but regular eggs will do too)

1 cup of curdled raw milk

Sea salt and crushed black pepper

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees then place the pie crust in the oven to bake for 10 minutes.  Make sure to poke some holes in the bottom of that crust so that it won’t rise in the center and explode.

Lower the oven temperature to 350 degrees.  After letting the pie crust cool a bit place the spinach (thawed and well drained) on the bottom of the pie crust. On top of the spinach layer the sliced mushrooms that have been sautéed in a little olive oil with the garlic, shallots and green onion. Next layer the freshly cooked and still warm bacon bits.  Lastly, layer the cup of cheese on top making sure to spread everything evenly on the bottom of the pie crust.  Then slowly pour in the 4 eggs and curdled milk that you previously whisked together. Pour it slowly and let it be absorbed by the mixture in the pie crust little by little. Sprinkle the top with some more Parmesan cheese and salt and pepper and place in oven to cook for 45 to 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean and it is nicely browned on top.

I made two quiches because I had two cups of curdled raw milk.  The other one had broccoli and cheddar –there were less ingredients but the broccoli took up a lot more space than the spinach.  I managed to use every drop of the egg/milk mixture in each quiche.  I was careful and there was no spillover in the oven!

Anyway, this will last in my fridge a few days and everyone will be able to grab a healthy organic lunch or snack that is filled with nutrients from curdled milk that ordinarily would have been poured down a drain.  That would have been sinful. Now I have a sinful duo of tasty quiche instead!!

To Begin Again…….

10629484_10152244652696415_3525815914242153008_o

Ben Swann gave me hope after watching this video this morning.  Ben always gives me hope. He’s young, good looking, honest and actually does investigative reporting.  He’s reachable –people can contact him with news or some injustice and he will look into it and make the calls and take the time in order to tell the world what is actually going on as opposed to what some corporate in-bed-with-our-government media entity wants us to think is going on.  And he’s not one of those opinion-pushers we see all over alternative media –he gives us actual truth and real news.  God Bless Ben Swann. He’s like the Ron Paul of the media.

So yes, he gives me hope and what he’s saying in this video reminds me of what just happened to me this past election cycle when I put myself out there and decided to Run for Office on a Liberty Platform –actually step up like the Liberty Candidates I’ve been shining a light on these past 5 years.   And as Ben says in this video I was “certainly in the fight”….I had to go out there and collect 3,000 signatures to get on the ballot.  My friends including my husband, Ken Bowman, my rock, were tenacious and we got 5,191 –enough to get on the ballot with a cushion…. yet we were sued by the GOP in my district who claimed that ALL of our signatures were fraudulently obtained and that we had 0 signatures.  We were on the ballot and off the ballot through frivolous lawsuits that took us all the way to the Fifth Level NY Supreme court –and we won just days before the election, but by that time, absentee ballots went out with and without my name.  News agencies ignored me believing I was no longer on the ballot.  My name was left off of sample ballots in both the one major newspaper on Long Island and in the actual polling places,  and in some instances (which I am still checking out),  people claimed they tried to find my name on the ballot to vote for me but I was not there.  They cost our campaign time and money.  They sucked the life out of us. They confused voters.  They won.  But NOT without a fight! And NOT without me getting the word out about issues that they just refuse to talk about like Big Pharma, Smart Meters and Industrial Hemp and GMO food –as well as the sucking-on-the-teat of the taxpayers with the high cost of legislation itself –the fact that we pay real good money in New York State to be enslaved by ridiculous, redundant laws.   The best part of this adventure was seeing how the local media, in conjunction with the political parties, does whatever it wants and gets away with it.  Local Fios1 puts out news on election night with 100% of the votes in saying I got 0 votes.  They know exactly what they’re doing.
10314763_10152358837496415_2697310951809717149_n

I have to come clean and admit that this election broke me.  I hated every moment of it from collecting signatures to asking for money to the constant self-promotion to getting physically ill before the debates and candidate nights.  I never aspired to be one of them, I just didn’t feel comfortable in the job.  When the lawsuits came I went through a myriad of emotions from dejected to elated whenever we got a win then back down again. This went on until just days before the election. This really did suck the wind out of my sails, and they knew this too –it’s what they plan will happen.  These people are professional vampires sucking the life out of any third party candidate that tries to infringe on their territory of power, taxpayer funded salaries, benefits and pensions as well as appointed jobs for their friends and families.  They don’t want ANY new meat involved in their little operation.  It’s like trying to join the mafia with good intentions.  I was pretty naive to think that I had a chance in hell.  And that was proved with 724 votes they say I received.  That adds up to the number 13 lol.  I was sad but Ben Swann just gave me hope for the rest of you…..

I wasn’t the only one fighting out there to have my voice heard –I just might have been the only one fighting that didn’t actually want to be a politician –I wanted to be the anti-politician and get in and repeal laws and nullify the entire federal government from our state.  And that wasn’t going to happen with some middle aged, loud mouthed trouble maker from Long Island who called out their game in the middle of a candidate meet & greet, was it?  Was anyone listening? Did anyone actually care?  Well if life really reflected the amazing people who I have met on facebook then I would have to say that people cared –then life would be a freedom loving place with people working in conjunction to live happy and healthy lives in a voluntary manner with a very small government never aggressing against another and having the ammo and God given right to protect themselves in their homes.  But that’s not the way it works out there in the world where only 40% of the registered voters are the ones making the choices for everyone else –and where a lot of those people who spend their days complaining from their armchair through their finger tips never actually went outside to vote because many no longer believe in the system.  I can’t say I blame them but –now what?

home Droves of people are angry and want to leave NY State or at least cut the lower half off.  On my journey to collect signatures I learned a lot about people….most have no clue what is actually going on with legislation until it directly affects them and even most Republicans I spoke to had no idea what the Safe Act was.  Most people who shunned me were those who say “I don’t like guns” and though they may have agreed with me on all the other issues –their opinion on whether they liked guns or not was the reason they voted for the “Republican who voted for the NY Safe Act” or the Republican turned Democrat who stated that “People have a perverse fascination with guns”.  Yet on my journey out there talking to voters did I ever hear –“I don’t like guns but I love the Constitution so I’m ok with you standing up for it.”

Most of the laws in NY State are there so as not to offend someone.  We live in the “offend-sive” state.  Someone doesn’t like something –a law is born.  And the incumbent I ran against is great at what he does. He’s down with creating laws and voting against our liberties even though his own party platform is supposed to stand up for the Constitution and that includes ALL the amendments –you’re not supposed to pick and choose when you have principles.  Well, unless it offends someone. And I think we saw in the news yesterday that back-room deals are what really guide how the elections will turn out.  It’s all pre-planned. Once in awhile we may encounter someone who is a real freedom loving individual who will fight for justice,  but you have to wonder what part of their soul they might have to give up in order to get in.

So I learned my lessons hard. I learned that I am not cut out to be in politics.  I AM, however, cut out to watch these guys and call them out and hand them information when they’re not doing the right thing or stand in front of their offices with a large sign so that other people know they are not doing the right thing.  Hell, I even learned how to do this in front of a camera. Words sometimes just seemed to fly out of my mouth because they were coming from my heart —and that only happens when I find I’m not trying to be one of them.  I learned that I just have to be myself and stand up for what I believe in rather than try and act like one of them to play their game which they would never “let” me win.

At the end of this experience I gave up two things that were very important to me.  I said good-bye to LibertyCandiates which I started on November 10, 2009 and ended on November 10, 2014 (I was shocked when I saw that I had opened that account on the very same day I closed it!). Five good years.  Why did I close it?  People stopped caring. People stopped donating to the candidates. People stopped paying attention.  It all stopped making sense when my committee of over 125 dwindled down to 2 to 5 people voting at a time if I was lucky.  Apathy killed Liberty Candidates.

The same can be said of Save Long Island –another organization I closed down. I ran it with my friend Ed Weaver and tried to awaken souls on Long Island to the issues affecting us.  The last event we ran had 5 people show up.  I knew people just didn’t care after the Save Long Island forum we threw in January.  We promoted it for 6 months prior and the best we could do was 250 attendees. That’s not enough.  We had speakers from every spectrum of the liberty movement from all over the country come together to talk about issues like vaccine safety to the 1st amendment to smart meters, GMO food, economics, common core education, Big Pharma and the constitution.  Billy Joel comes to sing and people pay thousands of dollars to listen but we try and tell people about issues that are affecting their families and their homes their pocket-books and bodies….and most people couldn’t find the money or time to attend.  It destroyed Ed and I –but we kept trudging on.  Right after the forum I had to go full steam ahead with my campaign and Ed was helping with my campaign, the website, brochures, etc.  We put our all into the next thing to awaken people, my campaign, and again very few showed up.  Don’t get me wrong –I am forever grateful to those that did believe in me, donated to me, lent me their bodies and time –this was the REAL grassroots and I have so many amazing people in my life who care and have given their all in trying to help me…. but in the end, that was not enough and they are just as dejected as I am.

So I give up on these things…on trying to awaken people through organizations or elections where they might actually have to show up and partake or do something –and instead I begin again…..  doing things where only I have to show up.  Because I know that I can count on me.  In the end we have to take a look inside of ourselves and see what drives us. We all have to be leaders for ourselves if we want to get anything done.  I’m tired of trying to awaken so many people by pointing out what’s wrong and trying to gather the troops in order to make it right. I’m pretty sure the troops are tired too.  I have it right with myself and my family and my friends.  So that’s what I’m doing, beginning again…..  starting from scratch.  And I’m hoping that if nothing else –maybe I awakened enough people who will start their own “Save Long Islands” or “Liberty Candidates” and invite me to their liberty awakening events –I just won’t be running them.  I’ve given up the reigns and I’m going to take a back seat and watch.  I believe that many of you out there are ready to step up and do your thing. I see it happening already. Maybe I helped to pave the way but I’ve done my fighting –Ben Swann says it’s time for the “win”.  Go and win!  I’ll write about it in this blog.  Invite me to the after party 🙂
